| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note with a decorative border of repeated foliate and floral units enclosing an inner ruled frame. The face is entirely typeset in Gothic (Fraktur) script: the heading 'Gutschein der Stadtkasse Konstanz für' appears in the upper portion, above the large denomination inscription 'Zehn Millionen Mark' in bold blackletter type. A serial number is printed vertically along the left margin and the numeral denomination '10 000 000 Mark' runs vertically along the right margin; a circular embossed dry seal of the city of Konstanz is visible to the lower left. The issue date 'Konstanz, den 19. September 1923' and the authorising legend 'Der Stadtrat:' appear in the lower field, followed by a manuscript signature. |
