| Obverse description | Cream-toned notgeld issued in cheque format, with the denomination 'M 10 Milliarden' typeset in bold at the upper right and a serial letter prefix at the upper left. The central field carries a cursive letterpress text body instructing the Stadtgirokasse Freiberg i. Sa. to pay the bearer ten billion Mark and debit account no. 6001, with a lightly printed city arms vignette as an underprint. A large diagonal red overprint reading 'Zehn Milliarden' in bold script traverses the centre, and the note is dated 22 Oktober 1923 at lower left with manuscript signatures of the Kassierer and Gegenbuchführer alongside a circular violet official stamp of the city of Freiberg. |
