| Reverse description | The reverse is printed entirely in orange-red on cream paper and carries a multi-panel vignette composition enclosed within a fine lace-like guilloche border. Four architectural and landscape scenes occupy the corners — including the Porta Nigra of Trier at upper left and a hilltop castle at upper right — while a central oval medallion framed by oak-leaf wreaths contains a tall memorial column set among trees. A horizontal banner across the centre bears the patriotic inscription 'Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit' in Gothic lettering. |
