Obverse description Central field features the crowned arms of the Free City of Krakow: a crenellated city gate with three towers rendered in fine relief, beneath which a shield displays a spread eagle. A royal crown surmounts the entire composition. The surrounding legend reads WOLNE MIASTO KRAKOW, arranged along the upper periphery in bold Latin characters. The coin border is defined by a continuous beaded dentilated rim.
