| Obverse description | Central field features a detailed relief depiction of the Poplar Admiral butterfly (Limenitis populi) shown in profile with wings closed, resting on a twig, its intricate wing venation rendered with fine engraving. The Latin scientific name 'Limenitis populi' curves along the upper rim as a legend, while the Ukrainian common name 'Стрічкарка тополева' arcs along the lower rim. The date '20 20' is divided by the inner beaded border on either side of the central motif. The design is framed by a continuous beaded circle separating the legends from the central device. |
