| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate arms of the College of Cardinals, comprising the crossed keys of Saint Peter surmounted by a tiara, flanked by crossed processional staffs with tasselled cords, all within an ornate cartouche. Above the shield, a radiant dove of the Holy Spirit descends with wings spread, emitting bold rays of divine light across the upper field. The circular Latin legend is distributed around the periphery within a milled border, reading NVTANTIA CORDA TV DIRIGAS, invoking the Holy Spirit to guide wavering hearts during the vacancy of the papal throne. |
