Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Grand Master Manuel Pinto de Fonseca facing left, wearing a elaborately curled full-bottomed wig and a decorative breastplate adorned with a cross pattée. The effigy displays fine baroque portraiture with careful attention to the lace cravat and armor detailing. The Latin legend F.EMMANVEL PINTO M.M. runs along the upper periphery of the field.
