| Obverse description | The obverse presents the standing figure of Saint Mark at left, rendered in high relief in the traditional Byzantine-influenced Venetian manner, extending a pennant-bearing vexillum to the kneeling Doge Giovanni Bembo at right, who is depicted in full ducal regalia including the distinctive corno ducale. Between the two figures, the letter D and an X mark are visible on the staff. The surrounding field is enclosed by a beaded border, with the Latin legend S·M·VENET IO·BEMBO distributed around the periphery, identifying both the patron saint of Venice and the reigning Doge. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays a frontal standing figure of Christ in Majesty, depicted within an elongated oval mandorla formed by a beaded border and surrounded by six-pointed stars. Christ is shown raising his right hand in benediction and holding the Gospels in his left, draped in flowing robes in a manner consistent with the Byzantine iconographic tradition maintained on Venetian gold coinage throughout the Republic's history. The peripheral Latin legend REGIS·ISTE·DVC(AT) SIT·T·XPE·DAT·Q·TV· encircles the design, invoking the divine authority of Christ as king over this ducal coinage. |
