Reverse description The reverse depicts the frontal figure of Jesus Christ in Majesty, nimbed, standing erect within an elongated beaded oval mandorla decorated with a border of small six-pointed stars. Christ is shown in episcopal vestments, raising his right hand in blessing and holding the Gospels in his left. The surrounding circular Latin legend, split across the field, reads SIT·T·XPE·DAT·Q·TV REGIS·ISTE·DVCA — the traditional votive inscription of the Venetian ducat invoking Christ's blessing upon the coin — rendered in the stylized Gothic lettering standard to this series.
