Reverse description A full-length, frontal figure of Christ stands in majesty within a beaded elliptical mandorla, the border of which is adorned with small stars evenly distributed around its interior edge. Christ is depicted in long robes with his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding the Gospels, consistent with the established Venetian zecchino iconographic tradition. The mandorla is set against a plain field, and the surrounding Latin legend, rendered in Gothic lettering, occupies the full circumference of the coin. The overall design reflects the deeply entrenched Byzantine artistic conventions that defined Venetian gold coinage for centuries.
