Reverse description Standing figure of Felsina, the allegorical goddess and personification of Bologna, depicted facing slightly left in classical martial attire, wearing a plumed helmet and holding a large oval shield in her left hand and a tall staff or spear topped with a vexillum banner inscribed LIB in her right hand. The monogram S.C. (Senatus Consulto) appears in the lower field flanking the figure's legs. The circumferential Latin legend PATRI PATRIÆ S. C. LIB is distributed around the beaded border, invoking the honorific title 'Father of the Fatherland.'
