| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese characters arranged vertically and horizontally, flanking a pair of Manchu script characters at centre, collectively denoting the reign title Guangxu and the denomination Yuanbao. An outer ring of additional Chinese characters records the issuing province and the weight standard, reading '庫平七錢二分' (Worth 7 Mace and 2 Candareens). The entire design is framed within a beaded border, with no portrait or effigy present, conforming to the standard format of late Qing provincial silver coinage. |
