| Reverse description | A menacing five-clawed Imperial dragon, rendered in high relief, occupies the central field, facing forward with its body coiled and tail curling to the left. Flames and scrollwork surround the dragon, conveying the characteristic vigour of late Qing provincial dragon coinage. The legend CHEH-KIANG PROVINCE arcs along the upper periphery in Roman capitals, while 7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS curves along the lower periphery, all within a toothed outer border. Small decorative rosettes flank the lower legend at the left and right sides. |
