| Obverse description | Central field bears the four large Chinese characters 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao, 'Guangxu Precious Currency') arranged prominently, flanked at center by a vertical Manchu script inscription reading the equivalent of 'Guangxu Yuanbao'. The outer legend reads 'KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE' along the upper arc and '7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS' along the lower arc in raised Latin lettering, all within a beaded border. The design is executed in a flat, engraved style characteristic of late Qing provincial silver coinage. |

| Reverse description | Central device depicts a finely detailed coiled Chinese imperial dragon facing forward, with scaled body, flaming pearl at center, and cloud and wave motifs in the field, rendered in high relief typical of late Qing provincial silver dollars. The upper arc bears the Chinese legend 廣東省造 (Guangdong Sheng Zao, 'Made in Guangdong Province') and the lower arc reads 庫平七錢二分 (Kuping qi qian er fen, 'Kuping 7 mace and 2 candareens'), all enclosed within a beaded border. Small decorative rosettes appear on either side of the dragon in the field. |
