| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, four large Chinese characters reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) are prominently arranged in the central field, with Manchu script inscription flanking the center vertically. The outer legend, reading clockwise from the top, displays 四川省造 (Made in Szechuan Province) in Chinese characters, while the denomination 庫平七錢二分 (7 mace and 2 candareens, treasury standard) appears along the lower outer margin. Decorative rosettes punctuate the legend at intervals. The entire design is contained within a milled border. |

| Reverse description | A coiled five-clawed imperial dragon is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, its body sinuously curved and scales finely detailed, confronting a flaming pearl beneath its claws amid stylized clouds and flames. The dragon's head faces forward with an elaborate mane and prominent horns. The upper outer legend reads SZECHUEN PROVINCE, and the lower outer legend reads 7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS, both in Latin script separated by small rosette stops. The design is enclosed by a beaded border and a milled rim. |
