Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, four large Chinese characters reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) are prominently arranged in the central field, with Manchu script inscription flanking the center vertically. The outer legend, reading clockwise from the top, displays 四川省造 (Made in Szechuan Province) in Chinese characters, while the denomination 庫平七錢二分 (7 mace and 2 candareens, treasury standard) appears along the lower outer margin. Decorative rosettes punctuate the legend at intervals. The entire design is contained within a milled border.
