Pei Hai Bank was a Communist Party–controlled regional bank operating in the Shandong-Jiangsu border region during the Second Sino-Japanese War, issuing currency to fund guerrilla operations and stabilize liberated zone economies. The name "Bo Xai Inxang" is a romanization of the Chinese, used in some catalog references to distinguish this series.
