| Reverse description | The reverse field presents a densely composed arrangement of the Eight Treasures (八寶, bā bǎo) — traditional Chinese auspicious emblems including a fan, a musical instrument, a jar, a flower basket, and other symbolic objects — rendered in bold relief against a flat field. A Chinese character inscription appears at the lower center of the composition. The design is enclosed by the same incused interlocking key-fret border that frames the obverse, lending the piece a unified and distinctly provincial Chinese aesthetic consistent with Taiwan Qing-era silver dollars of the Tongzhi period. |
