| Obverse description | Single-colour green intaglio print on pale paper. The central vignette presents two confronting dragons below a pair of ho-oo (phoenix) birds, framing a central medallion bearing the characters 金壹圓 (Gold One Yen). A chrysanthemum imperial seal appears at the top centre, flanked by denomination numerals '1' in the upper corners. The denomination and issuer inscriptions appear in both Russian Cyrillic and Japanese characters along the lateral margins, with the imperial title 大日本帝國政府 in a bold panel at centre-lower, beneath which the issue date in Japanese era notation reads 大正七年. |
