Obverse description Portrait of Kim Yoon-shik in traditional Korean court dress with black official hat (gat) at right, set within a fine guilloche underprint. The bank title 朝鮮銀行 (Bank of Chosen) appears in vertical script at left, with the denomination 壹圓 in large Chinese characters at center. A red seal impression is visible at lower left, and serial numbers with check letter appear in red at top and bottom.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in green and brown tones, with the English text 'The Bank of Chosen Promises to Pay the Bearer on Demand' across the upper portion. A large central guilloche vignette frames the bold denomination inscription 'ONE YEN IN GOLD or Nippon Ginko Note.' A vertical panel at left bears the denomination in Chinese and Japanese characters, and Japanese legal text appears in a horizontal band across the lower portion. A red official seal is affixed at lower right.
