Obverse description Central field depicts a detailed view of the Church of Saint-Anne (Église Sainte-Anne), rendered in high relief within the silver-toned inner disc of the bimetallic flan. The church is shown in a three-quarter architectural perspective, featuring its prominent bell tower and ornate façade flanked by gates. A decorative laurel branch frames the lower right of the central design. The gold-toned outer ring bears twelve fleurs-de-lis evenly spaced around the circumference, with the trilingual legend 'ESSAI - PATTERN - PROBE' arching across the upper field.

Additional information

Réunion has used the euro as its currency since 2002, which makes any coin denominated in "Xeros" from 2009 a fantasy piece or private issue with no legal tender status on the island. No official coinage authority — not the Banque de France nor any EU institution — has ever authorized a Xeros denomination for Réunion.
