Reverse description The reverse displays a quartered shield bearing the Brunswick arms, likely featuring the alternating lion and checkerboard (Wolfenbüttel) quarters, set within a beaded inner circle. The Gothic uncial legend surrounding the shield reads SI T D OM ED, an abbreviated devotional or titular inscription. The design is characteristic of early 16th-century Lower Saxon small silver coinage, with bold but simply rendered heraldic elements and a dotted border.
