Obverse description Central field depicts the Pomeranian griffin passant, rendered in a bold medieval style with wings raised and body oriented to the left, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The griffin, a heraldic symbol of the Duchy of Pomerania, is shown with detailed feathering on the wings and a curled tail. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner beaded border, reading CHRISTINA D G R S, identifying the issuing sovereign Queen Christina of Sweden. The overall execution is characteristic of mid-17th century hammered coinage, with an irregular flan edge typical of the period.
