| Obverse description | Saint Peter enthroned facing, depicted in Gothic style, shown frontally in full figure seated on an ornate architectural throne rendered in the Gothic manner. The saint is nimbed and bearded, holding his ecclesiastical attributes; small shield of the archbishopric of Cologne visible on the throne. Two shields appear in the upper field flanking the canopy. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the central design within a beaded border. |
