| Obverse description | Crowned quartered shield bearing the arms of Sneek — divided into quarters displaying an eagle and a lion rampant respectively — centrally positioned in the field. The shield is surmounted by a decorative crown rendered in the late medieval Gothic style typical of Frisian civic coinage. The surrounding circular legend reads MONETA NOVA SNEKENSIS in uncial lettering, separated by stops, running along the coin's periphery. |
