Obverse description Central device depicting a stylized conch shell (shankha) rendered in bold, deeply struck relief against a plain field, the motif executed in the characteristic early medieval Indian hammered style. The conch is shown in profile with a pronounced spiral whorl and tapering body, a sacred symbol associated with Hindu iconography and royal authority. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of the thick copper unit coinage of the Mlechchha dynasty. The inscription 'Ha' in Brahmi-derived script appears in association with the central device, serving as a dynastic or issuer identifier. The overall workmanship reflects provincial mint production of eighth-to-ninth century Assam.
