| Additional information |
The Mlechchha dynasty ruled the Kamarupa kingdom in what is now Assam, occupying a post-Varman political space that remains poorly documented in both epigraphy and numismatics. Tyagasimha appears in the dynastic succession but his precise reign dates are contested among scholars, and copper issues attributable to him are rare enough that die studies remain incomplete.
Kamarupa copper coinage of this period circulated in a regional economy largely outside the numismatic traditions of the Gangetic plain.
