Obverse description A wheel motif with four spokes divides the field into quadrants, each containing a pellet or small globule in the angle between spokes. A small bird or animal figure appears at the hub. The design is rendered in a bold, archaic Etruscan style with deeply incised lines on an irregular flan, characteristic of central Italian aes grave production.

Reverse description An anchor rendered in a stylized, upright position occupies the central field, its stock clearly delineated at the top and flukes at the base. A single pellet, serving as the value mark for one uncia, appears to the left of the anchor shank. The motif is executed in a bold, archaic manner typical of Etruscan bronze coinage of the mid-third century BC.
