| Obverse description | Central field features a plain cross within a beaded inner circle, flanked by two concentric circular legends separated by a beaded border. The inner legend reads the ruler's name and title, while the outer legend carries a devotional inscription. The lettering is struck in Gothic script typical of 14th-century Rhenish coinage, with pellets or rosettes serving as word separators. The overall design closely follows the Gros Tournois prototype established by the French royal mint. |

| Reverse description | Central device depicts a stylised crown of Tours (châtel tournois) rendered in the characteristic Tournois manner, with three fleurs-de-lis atop the battlements. The crown is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by an outer border containing twelve fleurs-de-lis set within arcaded compartments formed by trefoil or Gothic decorative elements. The reverse legend appears between the inner and outer beaded circles. The overall design is a close imitation of the French Gros Tournois, adapted for the Duchy of Jülich. |
