Obverse description Central field occupied entirely by a bold calligraphic Arabic legend in nasta'liq script, reading the royal titulature of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The inscription is arranged in multiple registers across the field, with decorative floral and foliate motifs interspersed among the letterforms. The design is enclosed within a single raised circular border, itself surrounded by a prominent outer beaded border running along the coin's rim. The overall aesthetic is characteristic of Qajar-period gold coinage, with deeply struck, flowing script dominating the design.
