Reverse description Central field bearing a two-line Persian inscription in Nasta'liq script, stating the mint city of Hamadan and the regnal year in the Islamic lunar calendar. The upper register reads the mint formula 'zarb-i baldat-i tayyibat-i Hamadan' (struck in the blessed city of Hamadan), and the lower register contains the AH date. The field is decorated with delicate floral and foliate arabesque motifs in low relief, and the design is framed by an inner linear border and an outer beaded border.
