Obverse description Uniformed bust of Nāṣer al-Dīn Shāh Qājār facing slightly left, wearing the distinctive tall Qajar crown adorned with a jeweled aigrette and feather plume. The Shah is depicted in military dress with epaulettes and decorations visible at the chest. Arabic inscription arcs to the right of the portrait recording the accession year and the mint date in the Solar Hijri calendar. A floral spray decorates the left field, and the date of minting appears to the lower left of the effigy. The portrait is executed in a Western-influenced engraving style typical of late Qajar royal coinage.
