| Obverse description | Central field bearing a bold Nasta'liq calligraphic inscription in Arabic script proclaiming the royal epithet and the name of the Prophet Muhammad, arranged in two registers within a plain inner circle. The legend is rendered in high relief with characteristic dotted diacritical marks. The inner circle is surrounded by a decorative outer border of stylized floral and foliate motifs, typical of Qajar gold coinage of the mid-19th century. |
