Reverse description The reverse displays a three-line mint and date legend in Nastaliq script, occupying the full field of the coin. The inscription reads 'Zarb-i Dar al-Marz Rasht' (Struck at the Frontier Seat of Rasht), with the AH date 1243 prominently placed in the lower portion of the field. Decorative pellet groupings are interspersed throughout the field, framing the calligraphic text. The layout follows the standard Qajar format for provincial gold coinage, identifying both the issuing mint and the regnal authority. The flan edges are slightly irregular, consistent with the hand-hammered production technique of the Rasht mint.
