Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold two-line Persian nastaliq legend reading the royal title and name of Fath Ali Shah, arranged within an oval cartouche formed by a fine incised line. The legend is surrounded by lush floral and foliate arabesque ornaments, including stylized blossoms and leafy vine scrolls rendered in high relief. Small pellet clusters are interspersed throughout the field, adding decorative texture characteristic of Qajar coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent raised beaded border running along the full circumference of the flan.
