| Obverse description | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold, multi-line Persian nastaliq calligraphic legend reading 'العزة لله ضرب دارالسطنه اصفهان' ('Glory belongs to God, struck at the seat of sovereignty, Isfahan'). The inscription is executed in a vigorous, interlocking cursive style characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage, filling the flan from edge to edge. The legend is enclosed within a continuous inner dotted border, beyond which a plain raised rim defines the coin's circumference. The deeply struck lettering displays pronounced relief against a flat field, with individual characters exhibiting the flowing, overlapping forms typical of late 18th-century Iranian die-cutting. No figural imagery is present; the design is entirely epigraphic in character. |
