Reverse description Central field features a bare-headed left-facing portrait bust of Freiherr vom Stein (Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein, 1757–1831), the Prussian statesman and reformer, rendered in high sculptural relief with naturalistic detail including his queue hairstyle. A circular legend in Gothic Fraktur blackletter script surrounds the effigy, with his birth and death years '1757–1831' appearing at the left and the commemorative text continuing around the full circumference of the coin.
