| Obverse description | Plain, largely uninscribed annular field surrounding a central circular perforation, typical of cast tin pitis coinage from the Malay Peninsula. The obverse surface exhibits the characteristic rough, uneven texture inherent to the sand-casting technique employed, with no deliberate decorative motif or legend present. The irregular flan edges and granular surface relief reflect the artisanal nature of production under the Kedah Sultanate during the mid-nineteenth century. |
