Obverse description Facing crowned bust of Archbishop Walram of Jülich set within a cusped Gothic architectural frame, the effigy rendered in high relief with stylized hair and vestments characteristic of mid-14th century Rhenish die-cutting. The bust is enclosed within a polylobe inner circle formed by gothic arches. A Latin legend in Gothic lettering encircles the design within a beaded border, reading +WALRAM : ARCHIEPES : COLONIE.
