Obverse description Uniformed bust of Naser ad-Din Shah Qajar facing three-quarters left, wearing the characteristic tall Qajar lambskin kulah crown adorned with a jeweled aigrette and plume. The effigy depicts the Shah in a heavily decorated military tunic with ornate epaulettes and a prominent breast star. The AH date 1297 is divided across the lower field, with the digits flanking either side of the portrait. The coin is bordered by a fine beaded rim.
