Obverse description Three-quarter facing bust of Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar, wearing a tall Qajar crown adorned with a feathered plume and military uniform with heavily decorated epaulettes and chest. The Arabic inscription commemorating the royal birth (سکه مولود همایونی) appears to the upper left and right of the portrait, with the AH date 1322 inscribed in the lower left field. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic, European-influenced style characteristic of late Qajar coinage.
