| Reverse description | The reverse presents a multi-line Persian Nastaliq legend arranged in sweeping curved lines that fill the entire field, recording the mint name and regnal year. The inscription is disposed in three principal lines arching across the flan, with the mint epithet 'Dar al-Iman' (Abode of the Faith) identifying the Qom mint, followed by the Hijri date 1241. Scattered clusters of raised pellets ornament the field between the calligraphic strokes, consistent with the decorative vocabulary of Qajar gold coinage. A border of raised beads encircles the central legend, framing the composition within the slightly irregular hammered flan. The engraving is bold and deeply struck, displaying the characteristic vigour of provincial Qajar mint production. |
