| Reverse description | Central field features a multi-line Arabic religious and mint legend arranged within a lobed or scalloped cartouche, typical of Qajar hammered toman coinage. Small pellet or rosette ornaments punctuate the corners of the central panel. The legend identifies the Tabriz mint (Dar al-Saltana) and bears the AH date 1213 in the lower portion of the field. The script is rendered in a bold Naskh hand consistent with official Qajar monetary inscriptions. The irregular flan and granular gold surface reflect the hand-struck manufacture of the era. |
