Reverse description The reverse presents a two-line Persian inscription in the central field, reading 'ضرب اورنگ آباد' (Zarb Aurangabad, meaning 'Struck at Aurangabad') above the Hijri date '١٢٤٧' (1247 AH), all executed in the hammered style typical of Hyderabad princely coinage. The legends are boldly struck but show the characteristic irregularity of hand-struck copper coinage, with slight weakness at the flan edges. No decorative borders or additional devices are present. The mint name and date together confirm the issue as a product of the Aurangabad Mint during the early nineteenth century.
