Obverse description Central field bearing a bold Arabic legend in florid Nastaliq calligraphy, raised in high relief against a plain ground. The inscription, likely a religious invocation or the ruler's name and titles, is framed by a beaded inner border. The outer margin is decorated with an elaborate continuous floral and foliate scrollwork band featuring clusters of pellets and stylised blossoms, characteristic of Central Asian hammered gold coinage of the period.
