| Reverse description | Central device comprises the Afghan national emblem: a circular medallion depicting a domed mosque (widely identified as the Shrine of Cloak in Kandahar) flanked by two minarets, set above a pair of crossed cannons and a rising sun, all enclosed within a wreath of rays. The medallion is itself surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. A five-pointed star crowns the composition at the top of the field. The entire design is contained within the milled border of the coin. |
