| Obverse description | Two large Chữ Hán (Han script) characters occupy the central field in vertical arrangement: the reign title 紹治 (Thiệu Trị) rendered in bold, slightly archaic brushstroke style. The characters are raised in relief against a plain, unadorned field. The entire design is encircled by a finely milled edge of uniform radial denticles running continuously around the coin's periphery. |
