| Obverse description | A stylized chakra (discus) depicted in the center of the field, rendered in low relief with a circular beaded border surrounding the device. The chakra, a sacred Vaishnavite symbol associated with the Travancore royal house, is shown with radiating spokes and a central hub, executed in the crude but characteristic artistic style of early nineteenth-century Travancore cast coinage.
