Reverse description A sankha (sacred conch shell), the dynastic emblem of the Travancore rulers, depicted in low relief at the center of the field. The conch is rendered in a stylized, somewhat crude manner consistent with the cast bronze coinage of the early Travancore period, with the spiral of the shell faintly discernible. The field is plain and unlettered, with no surrounding legend or border inscription.
