Obverse description Quartered coat of arms combining the arms of Mainz (wheel) and those of the Dalberg family, displayed in a four-fold shield at center. Three elaborately plumed and crested helmets rise above the shield, richly adorned with mantling. The date appears in the lower field, divided by the base of the arms. The circular legend, in Latin, runs along the coin's periphery within a beaded border.
