| Obverse description | Elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, surmounted by a crowned electoral hat and flanked by decorative foliate mantling. The shield displays the arms of Mainz (wheel of Mainz) quartered with those of the Dalberg family, with additional escutcheons. The date 15-90 is divided at the top of the field, flanking the crowned helm. A beaded inner circle frames the composition, with the circular Latin legend running along the outer rim. |
