Reverse description The central field displays the elaborate quartered arms of the Duchy of Brunswick and Lüneburg, comprising multiple heraldic quarterings including lions, horses, and other dynastic devices, surmounted by a large ducal crown. The shield is supported on either side by two wild men (savages) as heraldic supporters, each holding a club and draped with foliage. The date is divided by an ornamental order star at the base of the shield in the exergue area. The circular legend, reading EIN THALER XIV EINE F. M., denoting the denomination and fineness standard, runs around the periphery and is enclosed within a dentilated border.
